Found this guy hanging out (literally) on my porch when I came home last night. I actually really hate bugs, but some are just too interesting not to stare at and photograph.

Color Challenge – Week Five – Orange
Orange was fun, quite a bit of inspiration for this color this week.
I’m not sure if copper necessarily counts as orange, but I couldn’t resist putting my smashed penny collection somewhere in my blog ;-)
Sponge
Scissors
Oranges, duh!
The pumpkins are already out…in September! But I’m not complaining, I love pumpkins!!
Goldfish crackers
Cat toy
And finally an orange cat (more formally known as a Ginger Tabby)! Or Snickers as I like to call him ;-) I guess I had two cheats this week, but I just couldn’t resist including that cute little face!
Color Challenge – Week Four – Green
I was hoping to find more green things other than foliage, but I think I have enough variety to make up for the fact that half of these are leaves or vegetables.
Ivy taking over my side yard
Tall grass in my other side yard (which is really my neighbor’s, but since they moved out, the new owners don’t keep up with it)
Leaves from my orchid I’ve manage to keep alive (that I keep at work, no way it would have survived at home with the kids)
Building I can see from the balcony at work. It looks like I treated it with a filter but I just think it was the wind and a shaky hand.
Another building I can see from the balcony at work
Mountain Dew bottle
Cucumber
Arrangement of (fake) succulents and moss
Vegas beads
And my cheat for the week…he isn’t exactly green, but I found this guy in my front yard. I have frogs!
Color Challenge – Week Three – Brown
At first I was very disappointed at the lack of various brown things around me. There is tons of wood in various states…of being wood. Like trees, or furniture, or buildings. But I couldn’t do a whole post on wood. But then I focused on smaller objects and realized there was actually a lot to photograph!
Wood siding on a building on my way to work (had to have at least one representation)
The chocolate that melts in your mouth, not in your hand
Cinnamon stick
Coffee grounds
Fake aged copper framed mirror
Basket
Suede purse
Dining table chair
Small candle hurricane
Agate geode
Mouse figurine made from small metal parts
