Sea shells

My recent over-night trip to Atlantic Beach allowed me to grow my sea shell collection. I decided to rearrange them a bit and put the bigger and more impressive ones in the bowl and the broken and less impressive ones in a vase. Most of these are from Atlantic Beach, some from Isle of Palms and the rest are from somewhere on the East Coast.

I honestly have no idea where these came from. They may have come from California over a decade ago, or I may have stolen them from my Mom’s collection (which would have been collected several decades ago). But they have their own special bowl because some of them are really spectacular, albeit small.

I can never have enough sea shells!

Randomness 3

These are truly random, like, I mean, RAN-DOM!

This was taken in Williamsburg at an art festival in 2011. I think any and all places should have this for Dads and Husbands. And maybe Daughters sometimes when Moms drag them to open houses. Just saying :)

I’m actually pretty offended by this, but if they wanted to stir up a reaction, they sure did.

This is in my kitchen. Makes me smile every morning when I make my coffee.

We have what we call “buddy spaces” in our parking garage where they pair you up with a co-worker and the monthly parking is a little bit cheaper than if you had a single spot. The trouble is, I’m usually blocked in. This was taken on a Friday around 5:30. I’m the silver car parked behind all the others. AND THERE AREN’T ANY OTHER CARS IN THE GARAGE!! WHY ME!?!? Happens ALL-THE-TIME!

Um…I don’t know if these were left over from Halloween, but I took this two weeks ago, in January. I don’t know what else to say…

I love to make fruit smoothies and love the pattern it makes.

Took this shot this morning. The light hit the candle holder just right and made it shimmer and sparkle.

FINALLY had an idea for matchbooks! And wine corks! And added some toothpicks for a little asymmetry.

Fun with Spiders

First of all BLECH!!!!! I HATE spiders!

But no one can deny the beauty, hard work and delicacy that go into their webs (as long as those webs are outside and out of my way!).

I had to start “Immersion Therapy” last year when the orb weavers took over my yard. I was flinging and batting them away with a broom because they were all over my porch. But there was a very unique pattern in the web so I did some research. Turns out they are harmless and love Love LOVE mosquitos so I figured I should leave them alone and/or gently move them to a less populated area than my front door!

I still scream like a 10 y/o and do the ants-in-the-pants dance when I unexpectedly see one, but we’re getting to know each other a little better and I try to stay out of their way. As long as they stay out of mine!

I mean, seriously! How would YOU react if you walked into one of these!?!?

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
